So much of the stress that we feel comes from the idea that we can be in control

So much of the stress that we feel comes from the idea that we can be in control of that which is outside of our ability to control. 

When we trust in our own ability to deal with life (a concept called self-efficacy) we can deal with reality as it is (even when it is heartbreaking, difficult and hard).
